Thank you so much for sharing this video Anna! I just watched and it brought me to tears. I am reminded that despite the enemies subtle lies, God sees me righteous just as He saw Job righteous (thanks to his gift of salvation through Christ’s completed work on the cross). I have read the book of Job several times; however, until today, I didn’t understand certain parts of it in the way that this video extrapolates.

For example, I didn’t realize that my recent lamenting to God was similar to that of Job’s. I have battled shame and guilt for even speaking the raw and honest words I have cried out to the Lord recently. I have questioned God’s goodness (towards me) and even gone as far as begging God to bring me death as an escape from the physical and emotional pain I’ve been battling.

I love how this video concludes. It brings renewed hope. I want to be like Job. I want to be content in all things and prove, like Job, that I love God, not just His gifts. I pray the Lord helps to use these trials to prepare my heart and mind for His kingdom work and glory. I want to know and trust God in the way Job grew to know and trust God. I want to believe with my actions that God is bigger than my past experiences or future trials.
